The Last Few Days: Last?

The sandhill cranes were heard on my two-mile walk with Corwyn last evening. I heard their trumpeting to the east. I assume that today I'll actually see them, but who knows? The minds of the sandhills are beyond my knowledge.

It's spring break, and I MUST clean. I have to get a few things organized. The dust of the winter must go away. I cannot tackle the windows yet, but that should happen soon. We've had several days of dry weather, much conducive to snow melt. Still, patches of snow litter our land, and the swamps are all lakes, 2 to 3 feet deep with COLD water. This is the time of year our property turns into lake-front.

The Crow River to the west is over its banks, and the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers are graciously accepting the torrents of melted snow flowing down all the subsidiary waterways.

It's rather exciting.

But also damaging. With the incredible snow pack this year we knew such flooding was inevitable.

We had an eminent guest this past weekend. Carl Teichrib has written the book "Game of Gods" that came out last fall.

He is a researcher from Canada. This past weekend he attended the "Paganicon" festival that is held in our area doing reporting, research. We were the lucky recipients of a first hand report every evening when he arrived home from the day's events.

Naturally we all have a lot to think about.

Some things that truly sounded incredible were a marriage of heaven and earth, and a workshop on victim sacrifice. Yes, these things are quite in the realm of acceptability among this large, swelling population. There were over 700 attendees, most of them witches and druids.

As believers in these last days we should not be surprised, nor alarmed. This was all predicted, prophesied. Carl pointed out how very like the events were to the same things happening when the Apostle Paul went to Rome. It's uncanny.

There is nothing new under the sun.

Are you following politics? The Mueller Report?

It is your choice to not pay attention to what is going on, to ignore ongoing events. I don't judge anyone for wanting to hide from all the conspiracy, intrigue, speculation, and downright dirt that come with politics.

I, on the other hand, find it very interesting. I have decided opinions and I watch to see if my own speculation is correct. I'm not going to apologize for my interest. Politics have a huge effect on our lives. I believe we should be PAYING ATTENTION. 

I am a conservative/libertarian. I believe Trump is divinely appointed, as all leaders are, ultimately----for judgment or blessing. I believe in God, and His overarching interaction in human affairs. Trump is a fallen human being, just like King David in the Bible, but he has his moments of pure good. His stance on abortion has been hugely refreshing. Praise God for a pro-life president! That alone makes me a fan, but there are so many other things.

If you are not pro-life you need to repent. Seriously. You are lost. It is THE watershed issue of this age, and if you are even slightly pro-choice your spirituality is compromised. Seriously. No ifs, ands, or buts. You need Jesus, big-time. 

Donald Trump is president of the most powerful and rich nation on the face of planet earth. The United States is wealthy because God allowed it. The puritans had ideals for this nation that instigated blessings for many, if not all who come here.

Yes, there are homeless people, poor people, those who have fallen ill to disease and sin.

Some have brought it on themselves, some have inherited the curses. Some have made poor choices.

It's interesting how those who are faithful never truly fall into despair. They may have hardship and persecution, yet their attitude is always one of trust in God, and God has preserved their lives----then taken them home to glory.

We all should be looking for ways to help those who need it. We are called by God to do what is right by all people, however we can. This may even mean taking the unloved into our own homes and loving them, providing for them. It may seem like too much, but nothing is too much for God. It may be that through helping, someone addicted to alcohol or drugs will find Jesus and accept Him as his or her personal savior. 

We don't know, but we must try.

Carl's weekend really reminded me, once again, of how little time we believers have on this earth. We have a reprieve, of sorts, before the judgment falls. The hatred of those for believers will wax hot in a very short time. 

I read the comments on Twitter and Facebook on MPR and NPR and I'm always shocked, SHOCKED, at the virulent hatred toward President Trump, America, Israel, and believers in Jesus Christ in general.

There is a lot of hatred out there. These people (leftists) hate God, and therefore they hate anyone who loves Him. They are completely brainwashed by their hatred. They hate love of country, love of good, love of God's moral designs. They are baptized and washed in hate.

And they project their own hate onto anyone else. They accuse others of hating.

I shake my head.

You need to get a Twitter account and see it for yourself. It's incredibly sad.

Remember, Christ commands us to LOVE---Love God, Love others, love our enemies. We are a faith of love. We are disobeying Christ when we hate. This is true Christianity: LOVE.

We are to love the sinner, as we are each sinners. We are to love the murderer, the Muslim, the Buddhist, the witch, the homosexual, the abortion doctor, the leftist....

It's His command, and we must obey, though their hatred for us may snuff out this life. Hatred, after all, is really psychological murder.

Call out the evil. Call out the sin! Make it plain! Uncover the darkness! Bring evil to light! These are also commands of Christ. We need to take a stand against all that is dark, but our attitude should be compassionate love.

It's dark out there. It's dark in our own neighborhoods. Maybe you haven't seen it, but it is there. Carl could tell you. You need to be on the "offensive" for Christ Jesus. You must stand for righteousness and SHARE the Truth of salvation in Jesus Christ alone.

The wave of darkness is only growing, dear one. It's not going away. Jesus is coming soon. Watch and wait, and welcome the Prince of Peace.
