"Just Can't"
I was sent an article last evening from the NYT that was about the feeling of failure pervading people who are trying to get stuff done during this shut down.
In it the author reported on several people who had worthy goals of redoing decor, completing projects, starting healthier lifestyles, and other things of note with the "extra time" they had staying home.
The article said there seems to be a sense of failure regarding these notable ambitions and many are saying they "just can't" anymore.
I know I've said that a few times.
I just can't...
I've had trouble concentrating the past few weeks, particularly when I must focus on my Human Resources class, my Statistics and Evaluation class...(These are dry subjects for me)
My projects, discussions, papers, and responses are all dragged forcefully out of my mind.
Some days I really just can't...
Margaret left for the east coast last week. Ed got a job/internship. Cherie and I started back at the hotel (thankfully!).
School has pretty much been a constant in all of our lives, but OH, SO HARD!
My husband has a blessed job and is working from home. Wood is still getting split, branches picked up and gardens groomed.
I have a lot of ideas why I cannot concentrate as well this semester. You probably do, too.
I'm convicted about so many things, wondering about more, and struck with the lateness of the spiritual hour (and the desire to go sit on a mountain top for the balance of time).
I'm not doing that. My hand is to the plow. I still have people that I care about who are headed for hell.
You see, I actually do believe the Bible when it says people are lost eternally. The good part is that there are those saved eternally...
It's the lost part that too many people can't deal with. They just can't...
Anything but hell!
It just can't be!
Actually there are people going to hell who've had the Covid-19. There are those about to get it that will go to hell if they die. The time is NOW for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I talk about prophetic events all the time, and I'm really excited about them. I see things unfolding that just SCREAM at me JESUS IS COMING SOON!
In reality there are very few people who even care about this, and the rest just want me to "shut up."
Oh well. I do tend to cast pearls before swine more than I should. (I'm sorry, Lord!) But sharing the Gospel is what God mandated for souls to come to him. How shall they hear without a preacher?
We must stick our necks out and share Christ, even if it IS casting pearls before swine.
Hell is real, but so is heaven.
I don't want to even think about anyone I know going to hell. I just can't...
Will you accept Jesus as your savior and repent of your sins today? Will you be born again?
Will you humble yourself before the Creator and let Him define Himself?
Will you stop trying to make Him into your own image?
Will you share this path of truth and life with those you love? Will you pray for them? Pray for their salvation?
Do it. You can.

Something Shifted for Me
Perhaps it is this virus, and the fear that I'm seeing in people I know and love, perhaps it is the sense of blindness I am witnessing---both spiritually and ideologically, perhaps it is the time to ponder the events that are expected in light of the return of Christ. Perhaps it is my classwork, my studies, my obligations being a student and earning my masters degree---
Perhaps it is because my son, a soldier, is deployed, half way around the world. Perhaps it is that I have concern for my two darling grandchildren growing up in a world that is so divided. Perhaps it is because I am trying to witness to a pagan that seeks to draw something dear to me away from God---
Perhaps it is because I have dealt with so many hard things over the past years (cancer, illness, loss) and seen God's sustaining power---
Perhaps it is something about timing after all, but something has shifted in my sphere.
As someone who has grown up in the faith, an "evangelical," now more just a Bible Believer, I define ALL of life's experiences in light of faith. I cannot help it.
I'm reading the biography of Eliza George, daughter of slaves/sharecroppers, missionary to Africa. Her faith inspires me. I aspire to be like her.
It was a different time, a different era, but I am convinced that we don't have to be so different in our outlook.
I'll be honest. Here at Corgi Hollows it is quiet and peaceful. The cupboards are not bare (not even close) and we are blessed with fresh air and sunshine. I have never found it more difficult (even when my brother died last fall and I was distracted) to keep on going with my assignments. I realize God put me in this program and I am accountable to Him, so I plug on. But I want to quit every day.
This time of quiet has been a blessing. I am reminded, in Scripture, every day of the promises the Lord has made. Being someone who studies prophecy I am in awe of what is happening in the world.
The virus is just a vehicle. We are at least 1,007 years from the "end of the world," but we are seeing the time of Jacob's Trouble coming into focus.
I watched both "Before the Wrath" yesterday and the copper scroll YT video. I posted that below.
Perhaps it was the copper scroll video that shifted things for me.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Cowboy Jim, an unlikely (therefore totally God-chosen) figure has *probably* discovered the temple treasures. Watch the two-hour video. The timing is incredible, and we are in awe of God's miraculous actions in preserving things for SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
We'll see, but I'm thinking things are about to happen in Israel: the right agreements will be drawn up to give the Jewish people permission to extract the treasure to build the temple.
Prophecy. Fulfilled. Something is shifting.
We have the ID2020 on the horizon, (that has to do with buying and selling) and we have the "cabal" of the deep state and Luciferians coming out into the open. These people control Hollywood and the music industry, ergo the media. We've all been spoon-fed their agenda. This is earth, where the prince and the power of the air is one devil. He has cohorts and powers and principalities under him, but he reigns right now.
I was surprised to have a conversation with a preterist once who believed Satan was now bound. Shocking to me. I didn't realize that such a view of God's timeline would require the devil to be a non-player. It does, though.
The devil is actually worshiped by MOST of the world. The creator of the universe, Jesus, is actually their bad guy.
Jesus, love itself, lover of our souls, righteous and pure, holy, is their enemy. It is an upside-down world view. They really believe it! Deception is complete.
I believe that the two narratives I've been hearing through this Covid-19 crisis have shifted my views, too. As I wrote last week I believe that utter blindness plagues our 2020 world. There are very few people who are willing to even hear about things like Hydroxychloroquine and zinc, or the medication they've found in Israel. There are those that summarily dismiss the dangers of vaccinations ---the hundreds of thousands of people affected terribly by vaccines!
Those people do not matter, apparently. I think many people are essentially "good" people. They are sinners, of course, but they are good citizens and follow the government's lead in most things. They are proud of being liberal-minded, open, accepting (of everything but God as He defines Himself in the Bible!) --of god as they define him. God is whomever you want him to be.
Idolatry, really. This mindless liberal thinker so bent on the consumption of worldly pablum is beyond my reach, certainly. Not God's, for with God all things are possible---
But something has shifted, and the Remnant is beginning to stand alone.
The Remnant are those who are watching for Christ's prophecies to be fulfilled. The Remnant are seeing things coming into focus, things coming to pass, that verify God's Word. He has not forgotten us.
There is so much information out there. The internet is a blessing to us, but also (of course) a source of confusion and only those who are truly alert to specific events described in the Bible that are to come (and are happening now) are able to discern these things! It isn't magic. It isn't even some elite group!
We watchers are a rag-tag bag of believers who actually take the Bible seriously. We (heaven forbid!) are not intellectuals. We tend to be DIY theologians, repentant, simple believers. We may be smart, and we certainly cultivate wisdom, but we are not the movers and shakers of this world. God picks the awkward and the weak. He picks the ones where it is pretty obvious that HE is the one that makes things happen. He picks those with ugly teeth, funny accents, homely, weak. Every once in awhile there is a Tim Tebow out there who shines, but even he has been maligned. God uses weak people.
I love it. I'm one of them! We are the great "unwashed," but washed in the blood of the Lamb. Our physical unattractiveness frames God's beauty in our spirits! The beauty that shines is His! We have no part of it. As Paul did, glory in the thorn.
I remember once I brought up prophecy in a women's group I was a part of, not a Christian group. One of the women said, "Oh I don't like prophecy. It's SCARY. I just think it is confusing!"
That is the spirit of this age in a nutshell. Afraid. Fearful. Confused. Undiscerning.
So this is a time of shifting for me. I am no longer concerned (as much) about those who are spiritually blind all around me. Does that sound bad? I care, of course, but I think the time has come to focus on what is happening on the scale of God's timetable. Get ready.
Get your house in order. Focus on preparing for Christ's appearing in the cloud (Revelation 1:7). Are you ready?
Eliza George related her conversion experience. She was about 15, and she had heard the Gospel her whole childhood. She went to revival meetings every night for a week, going forward each night to repent and find faith. It was after a week of mental torture that the preacher spoke on John 3:16 and the heavens opened for her. She converted.
It was a dramatic moment for her.
How many of us have wrestled with God over our spiritual blindness?
Something needs to shift for all of us.
For me it is to FOCUS on HIS RETURN, at all costs. No turning back. Only JESUS!
Follow along! Don't be left behind.
MARANATHA
Dear one, if you are in my circle of closeness, I will tell you the truth to your face. For those of you who follow me (still) on social media I will start being more obnoxious about what is happening in the world. You are warned. Believe me, I care about your soul WAY MORE than I care about your life here on earth. I realize that you have people close to you that you have great concern for. I urge you to take a stand for Christ and let the "chips fall where they may." Risk rejection. Jesus asks you to put your hand to the plow and NOT LOOK BACK.
It's really all about Jesus.
Those of you who have intersected in my life and still do on occasion through social media, I urge you to seek truth. I know several of you are witches, atheists, and politically opposite of myself. I lump you together because we simply disagree. I'm praying for you. I won't stop. I know that Satan has gripped you for years and it IS hard to shake the darkness. I want to believe that you are simply unaware of the dangers of worldliness. Sadly I acknowledge that spiritual blindness is probably the real issue. This requires a spiritual transaction. Only God can bring that about.
Some of you rationalize sinful lifestyles. You are caught in the web of deceit. I don't fault you, I understand you, but I grieve for you. You are deluding yourselves. Some of you are pastors who have lost their first love of the Word of God. You are in danger of great judgment.
Some of you have bought the lies of the devil, hook, line, and sinker and you are going down with a millstone around your neck. You wink at evil, abortion, sodomy, sin. You have believed in doctrines of devils, hyper-grace, which does not lead to repentance. Watch out! You say you know Jesus, but you reject His Word and His commands. You despise His followers. You know who you are. You prefer the hiss of the serpent, quietly condoning the works of the devil.
Come out from this, my people. Stand for Christ. It is hard. The lions will tear you to pieces, but this momentary affliction gives way to eternal joy at Christ's hand.
Those of you who are enslaved to drugs and alcohol, those of you dear to me, I urge you in Christ to be sober. This is not a time to let substances cloud your thinking. True conversion does not need any form of "spirits." If you are still using alcohol ask God to convert your soul.
You are not safe. You are under the influence of evil, and that is not of Christ.
Give it up. You know you should!
I care about you, and I pray for you. When you come to Corgi Hollows I will hound you. So stay away if you don't want change!
I saw someone die who laughed at things I held dear. I cared for this person. I don't know where he is right now---heaven or hell? My heart aches for this, as those he cared for are living in sin and sadness right now.
Why should you have any question about eternity? God has given us a spirit of wisdom and truth! Everyone should KNOW that you are SAVED.
There are several of you I wish I knew about. I realize it isn't for me to know, always. God knows your heart. But don't you want to know if someone is with Jesus after they die?
Your doctrines of demons bring that assurance into question. WE CAN'T KNOW.
But we'd like to. Give us some peace.
Take a stand for Christ. For yourself, for us.
Conversion is a very powerful thing. Ask Eliza George. Ask Paul the Apostle.
Many are called, but few are chosen.
Be chosen. Be bold, be born again.
Perhaps it is because my son, a soldier, is deployed, half way around the world. Perhaps it is that I have concern for my two darling grandchildren growing up in a world that is so divided. Perhaps it is because I am trying to witness to a pagan that seeks to draw something dear to me away from God---

Saturday, Day Umpteenth
Every. Single. Day. I am more amazed at the blindness all around regarding the coming New World Order.
We believers are given a promise of a blessing for watching for the coming King. Second Timothy 4, verses 7 and 8 promises a reward for those who love his coming. This promise alone inspires me to be watching for the signs Jesus talked about in Matthew 24 and 25.
Are you watching?
I have seen so many things come into focus over this crazy Covid-19 pandemic. The virus is certainly a force to be reckoned with, but far more concerning are the implications and timing of this event in history.
Why is it that Republican administrations see some of the worst events in history and descend into far more ungodly depths? We are all grateful that slavery was defeated by a Republican president. What about Eisenhower and WWII? Nixon and Vietnam?
Democrats are unquestionably evil with their focus on child sacrifice and being anti-God.
Republicans get these massive societal events that sink us into deeper issues of globalism. George Bush Senior talked about the New World Order and had Desert Storm, George Bush Jr had the Iraqi war and 9-11. Now poor old POTUS Trump has the pandemic and the descent into globalism to deal with.
I voted for Trump because he seemed to be anti-deep state. Anti-globalist. I questioned his conservatism, but he said he is (and demonstrated) that he is pro-life. He's pro-Israel. He has challenged the realms of the deep with these two stances alone.
I applaud him.
The left has tried to take him down in so many ways we've all lost count. That anyone has any respect for someone who leans left is beyond my comprehension. I'm completely finished with people who espouse leftist ideology. I'm convinced they are mad. Insane-mad.
Blindness is spiritual, and we have come to know that it might be incurable, too.
God has abandoned people to a reprobate mind.
So, my fellow lovers of Christ, now is the time to focus on Him, on getting through these last days before we are presented with an identification that allows us to work, to buy or sell, to say we can move freely around because we've been vaccinated.
We've been promised a blessed hope, the rapture of the church, and this form of escape is every bit as wonderful and worthy as the ark was for Noah and his family.
I'm sure that riding out the storm in the ark was frightening at times. I wouldn't have signed up for the privilege, yet it was the only way to survive. I'm sure the hand of God was holding it together and keeping it safe during those violent upheavals of water, earth, stone, and lava, plus torrential rains and massive atmospheric activity. I trust that the hand of God will hold me together through this upcoming storm of trial approaching Jacob's Trouble.
Daniel's Seventh Week is surely almost upon us.
Just today I saw an article about a vaccine that takes out the religious components of the brain: the anti-fundamentalist vaccine,"Fun-vaccine" that is given in response to a respiratory illness. It was developed to combat jihad and Muslim extremists. Don't you think it could take out other religious folk too? I thought this vaccine seemed utterly ridiculous. It must be fake news! Well, no, there are vaccines that have certain chemical markers that seek out exact parts of the body and adhere to that section through the DNA. It isn't preposterous. People could literally get vaccinated against God.
I saw an article about the ID2020 from Microsoft which proudly claimed we will need a type of ID to exist in a global economy. The ID would mandate that we are vaccinated so we can live normally. The article even said that in order to buy or sell things we'd need this ID.
That probably only sounds familiar to people who are actually reading prophecy in the Bible.
(Which I recommend.)
There are people crying out that we cannot open up the economy yet! People will die! The virus is so terrible!
Yes, the virus seems to be pretty bad, but we have several ways to treat it now (not vaccines!) and we can certainly keep those who have underlying conditions sequestered for longer. The general public should get back to work.
But I think the world has changed. I think there is a deeper spiritual agenda going on, unfolding. The virus is the distraction. The New World Order is the objective. However this manifests we know, spiritually, that it was predicted and brought about by diabolical forces. Watch, beloved.
I do.
And I think there are many people who are completely blind to what is really happening.
Follow Christ. He will open your spiritual eyes.
We believers are given a promise of a blessing for watching for the coming King. Second Timothy 4, verses 7 and 8 promises a reward for those who love his coming. This promise alone inspires me to be watching for the signs Jesus talked about in Matthew 24 and 25.

Recovery
I had one of my "worst" headaches last night. I get them from time to time, the kind that makes you nauseated and wanting to die...
So today I'm recovering. I feel sore pain, not pounding pain.
I'm able to function some. Not much, but some.
I'm thinking about recovery and how we all are wondering about it (or at least some of us.)
The covid has left us in the middle of some huge questions, and no one can honestly know the answer because the entire globe is still in the midst of recovery, and the virus is only a small fraction of the whole scenario about to unfold.
I am disgusted by the media that feeds fear about a need for a vaccine. I think the polio vaccine invented by Jonas Salk was a blessing. Did you know that Jonathan Edwards died from complications from a vaccine?
I think measles/mumps/rubella vaccines are sane and worthy. Did you know that a certain percentage of vaccinated people actually get those viruses from the vaccine?
I think that vaccinations are fraught with danger. Did you know that there are ingredients like aborted fetal cells in vaccinations? Mercury?
Did you know that there is a direct link to autism and other devastating effects from vaccinations?
Did you know that if a vaccine isn't working properly in a 1st world country it is (sometimes) sold to a 3rd world country and unleashes all manner of suffering and death?
Did you know that those who promote vaccines also promote population control?
Vaccines are not the answer to the Corona virus, and if you think they are you are misinformed. There is much research to be done. Vaccines properly and discreetly used could be very beneficial.
But unfortunately that is not usually the case.
Not that my opinion matters, but I do have one. The flattening of the curve (by staying home) was a helpful start to the onslaught of the virus. This was done, achieved, and it is time to move on.
Those who are high risk for the virus' effects should continue to sequester. The rest of the world should get back to work and risk the infection.
The economy has already been damaged, but 7 billion people will generate an economy no matter how the elites want to control it, and a penny earned is a penny gained.
It's true that the system may have been dealt a lethal blow, but there are hopes that something other than a Federal Reserve in the USA could be put into operation.
Looking at the prophetic hour I feel it is too late to anticipate anything but the global one-world system (new world order/new age) of the anti-Christ, the beast system, the prophesied system in Revelation. We saw Israel become a nation in 1947, and then Jerusalem was recognized in 2017. We know from prophecy that the generation of the fig tree will not pass away before the Messiah returns. We are running out of time.
Since the events leading up to the Great Tribulation are unfolding even now we can assume that this time of Jacob's trouble is just on the horizon. Birth pangs are occurring daily: volcanoes, earthquakes, disease, political unrest, plagues (locusts), animal extinction, pollution, astronomical signs and wonders, ---wars and rumors of wars----these things are happening.
Jesus told us that all these must occur and then LOOK UP FOR YOUR REDEMPTION COMETH NIGH.
We know how this story ends. As events unfold before our eyes we need to keep our eyes focused on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Don't believe the globalists. Watch out! Don't be lulled into their agendas! Be awake! We are supposed to be watching for Jesus right now.
Remember, eternity separate from God is hell. The powers on earth are ALL headed there. Our affliction is for just a short time, and we have a wonderful hope of heaven for ever.
Keep watch. Keep focused on Christ. Keep going.
It can't be long now.

While the Limpa Bakes
I made a loaf of Swedish Limpa this afternoon. Since I'm waiting for it to bake right now I thought I'd take a second to report.
Limpa is a rye bread made with molasses and brown sugar, with caraway, fennel seeds, and orange peel. It's a bread I grew up with, and it's wonderful with cheese. I've posted about it before on Corgi Hollows. I'm sure the recipe is on here somewhere if you want to try it.
Ed has been baking too.
He tried the roll recipe from the Lincoln Del cookbook. They were perfect. He has a knack with baking.
He also had an interview via the internet today for a summer internship in St. Paul. I just can't believe he's at that point in his life. If he gets the internship he gets a job there at this company. It's a wonderful deal.
Cherie and I continue to plug away at very difficult classes. Perhaps the classes aren't so hard, but the semester is. We both fight the temptation to just ignore our assignments. I do hope I can get the engines running again. The Lord helped me finish my assignments last week, and I have a lot to do this week, too. One step at a time.
I ended up vacuuming for a couple of hours today. The pandemic has been conducive to doing jobs I have been needing to do for awhile. I know everyone is experiencing this.
I just happened to turn on the press conference yesterday. I understand it was unusually heated, but I thought it was funny. These are fascinating times, and listening to history unfold (like it is, with President Trump) is high interest. I know Covid-19 is a serious issue, but the drama between the president and the press is unusually diverting.
And we wait for our own verdict on the disease. How long before one of us knows we've had it, or have it, or been exposed to it, or have antibodies, or what?
I do have several people I know who have had it, been tested for it, have recovered, and are sick right now. I know of two people who have passed away who are connected to a fellow student. This is a very difficult time, and I am not making light of it at all. I simply must see things within a bigger perspective.
I write about that all the time.
I have hope.
I have Jesus.
I am praying for your health, and I'm praying for your soul.
The oven timer dinged, and I must get the Limpa out and get to bed. Breakfast is ready....

Joyous Resurrection Sunday!
As inhabitants of the planet we are subject to the winds of the atmosphere.
Some winds bring trial, some delight!
Looking back at the centuries of hardship, then light, a reprieve---we must remember that the cycles of generations are always in flux.
I'm tempted to expect hardship these days, but that is only a fraction of the whole story.
Here's the delight of this day, the day we celebrate Jesus' resurrection from the grave.
We have eternal hope, no matter what.
We have the Word of God to read, meditate on, memorize, obey.
We have fellowship with believers, and some of us have our spouses, children and friends with us.
We are connected.
We have shelter---or a blanket, a fire, or perhaps the warmth of the sun.
We are clothed and we are alive for today, food for today.
We have news of a medicine that helps to cure a feared virus. We know that God has given us vitamins and herbs to boost our own body's ability to fight germs.
And even if He suffers us to pass away---
We have hope in a glorious future.
We have hope that the devil will be defeated, darkness forever put away; pain and sorrow nevermore.
We have been given a measure of quiet time to reflect and realign our sights on Christ, the hope of the nations.
We have seen evil come into focus, just as the Bible prophesied, and we know the hedge of protection around us stands firm and sure.
History has rewarded those that seek the higher ground, the greatest hopes, the truest thought.
That is who we can be, filled with the Holy Spirit.
This is our calling, for this day.
Psalm 16:11, "In your presence is fullness of joy..."
Christ is coming to take us home. Perhaps today?

Fake
If there is one thing which stands out to me in this whole pandemic it is the effect of deception.
We have a president who is constantly crying out the word "fake."
We have two diametrically opposed viewpoints: left and right.
We have media which insists on reporting news that isn't true, showing images and saying a canned message.
We have ideologies screaming out, trying to drown out other voices.
Since I am a conspiracy believer (the devil has a conspiracy to fight God) I feel I have my own handle on the Truth.
I believe the Word of God is the Truth, the Bible.
Too many people have bought the lie of the "Higher Criticism," "Liberal Theology" dudes that undercut the authority of Scripture. That happened in the 1800's (or before) but the fruit of it is being harvested now.
I've read about and seen documentaries which prove that the Textus Receptus is a reliable text (far superior to the other fakes----the Codex Sinaiticus, for example) and it has been translated in a manner that is completely reliable.
King James had a group of Roman Catholics and Protestant scholars do the work. The result was uniquely balanced and complete, REALLY. We actually have the Muslim hoards taking over Constantinople to thank for the monks seizing manuscripts and fleeing to Europe. It was these manuscripts that gave birth to the Luther Bible, to Wycliffe's Bible, to the Geneva Bible, to Erasmus' translation...
I encourage you to do your own studies on the history of the King James Bible.
It was the Jesuits who realized that having an impartial and completely reliable Biblical text was undermining the Roman Catholic church and the authority and power therein. They were the ones to sow a seed of doubt about the Bible and its authority. Columbia Theological Seminary, Union Seminary, were the first to lap up the lies of that line of thought. It spread to Harvard, other "Ivy League" seminaries, and eventually to the tried and true fundamentalist evangelical schools throughout the country. Each and every seminarian heard every argument against the authority of Scripture and each and every seminarian had to come to terms with it.
I did too.
It was the schtick that infected, virus-like, every pastor's mind.
The Bible was deemed "FAKE." We need to listen to the Pope instead...
We need to listen to the justice warriors and the existentialist philosophers that shaped our nation.
No. That's fake. We must find a reliable, true source. God will always work out his own purposes and speak above the lies of Lucifer. There will always be a remnant who knows truth, even if it is clouded by peripheral fakeness. Maybe some of the details are off, but the core is right on.
Having the Word of God (and we do, in every hotel bedside drawer) is a gift to mankind. His Word is true. Pitch all the modern translations and get yourself a KJV.
I'm not a KJV only person. That is practically a cult. However, the KJV is really a wonderful thing for English speakers who can read.
The Luther Bible is wonderful for German speakers.
I'm reading a Spanish Bible right now and I'm learning so much Spanish. It says basically the same thing. The words are there.
Stay away from paraphrases. I liked the Living Bible for awhile, and read it through, but it isn't the same as a translation from the Greek and Hebrew.
Always remember: the Old Testament is completely reliable. We have the Dead Sea Scrolls to back them up. The controversies over authority are about the New Testament, the Gospels. Because we didn't have the meticulous scribes copying the texts (like the Jewish nation) there were those who were able to sow doubt in the minds of the followers of Christ. Actually the texts are incredibly reliable. There are literally thousands of fragments which are essentially copies of each other, few discrepancies. They date to almost the time of John the Apostle.
No other ancient texts are as concurrent with original documents.
It's amazing, and it's RELIABLE. Truth. Real. Not fake.
Don't let the lie of those seminaries undermine your trust in the Word of God. God has preserved it for us to read, and it is the source of truth and comfort for our age.
God's Word is true. You can bank on that.
Do we obey God's Word? Absolutely. Do we trust the Lord to help us discern truth in this age? Yes.
Back to the Fake News of today. We are inundated with information every day about this virus. Confusion is a wile of the devil. Many people really have no idea what to believe and defer to the powers that be for the daily updates and plan of action.
If you don't have a worldview you are at the mercy of the authorities.
Think about the German citizens before WWII. They went along with Hitler's regime.
I don't want to go along with a regime that is spewing lies.
I want my own solid worldview, questioning every bit of information.
I am not a doctor, nor a medical professional. I rely on those medical people WHO SHARE MY WORLDVIEW.
I cannot go along with those who don't. They operate from a base diametrically opposed to mine.
I am pro-life. I am pro-Israel. I am pro-Christian values.
I can tell you that Bill Gates isn't that. Why would I listen to him? George Soros isn't.
I believe in a Creator.
I believe in sin.
I believe in forgiveness through Christ alone.
I must operate from these TRUTHS.
What are the other essential truths that I must base my daily operations on?
They are shaped and driven by my understanding of God's Word. Nothing else.
They will drive me until Christ's return.
This is a time to repent and follow truth. The millions of voices we hear each day need a clarion call above the rest: God's Word is truth.
Cry out to Him in your confusion and distress. Trust Him to show you the truth. He answers the humble heart, he cares for the broken-hearted.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and HE WILL LIFT YOU UP.

Power Thoughts
I've really struggled to get back on track with my studies. This week two close friends prayed for me to refocus, and guess what?
Prayer works.
I was able to start a group project, and found out that one of my group members lost two close relatives on Monday to the Covid-19 virus. Such a shock.
Connecting with my fellow students (finally) has revealed how difficult things have become for so many people. I have a hunch that we are beginning to see the tip of the iceberg.
I know that God provides, especially for His own. "I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread."
This isn't "prosperity," people. It's survival UNTIL HE CALLS US HOME.
I keep think about Brother Yun and his miraculous survival in the prisons of China. There is so much power in Christ!
We should never expect riches, nor anything luxurious. God can certainly give all things, good, beyond our imagination (and He has!) yet we are to rely on Him for our needs, and see how He provides.
Because that is what is interesting.
I'm a conservative (duh!) and I love my country, the United States of America. I think that the puritan roots of this place have been long forgotten, yet some of the precious influence still exists in shaping the hearts and minds of us citizens.
I'm totally aware of the influence of Freemasonry, the Illuminati, the Existentialists, Voltaire, Hegel, etc., etc.. That's the stuff I read about. That's stuff I know.
Yet there is this sweet spirit that is so powerful that it pervades even the darkness of philosophy. Jesus Christ, savior, King of Kings is the real truth and power for us, the real and touchable hope. He has blessed so many Americans, and Europeans (although faith is hardly to be found in Europe these days) and there are still those with simple trusting FAITH that have infinitely more POWER than those who have bowed to the spirits of darkness in government and religions.
There is a false power.
Satan does have supernatural power. I believe that a huge percentage of "spiritual power" we witness these days is actually satanic. Or Luciferic. Of the devil, at any rate. He is a deceiver, and that is what he's all about.
We can walk a very fine line here on earth (the strait gate, the narrow path) of actual Truth, and that stems from Christ alone.
I have watched "Christian Celebrities" come and go. Books are published, talks are given, conferences are held...
After 50 years of watching I get rather jaded at all the flash in the pan celebs who trot out their new spiritual wares. Just last night I saw advertised an online conference hosted by NARite Bill Johnson with a host of Big Names with the title of "Q" something or another. Riding of the tails of another "Q" bandied about? Or something else? I can hardly believe Tim Keller wants to hitch with the pro-Trump "Q." Eric Metaxas maybe, but why appear with the bizarre New Age cult of the NAR? Always be on guard. New Age philosophy is as old as the earth. It has crept into the church as a deceiving spirit. Too many are drawn in to its alluring power! This power is certainly supernatural, but it is NOT of God. Those who have been freed from it attest to this.
Watch, therefore, that you may withstand the wiles of the devil.
Actually it is sad so many people run after these teachings and conferences! People are so undiscerning! (Google says that isn't a word. I guess I made it up.)
We have God's Word!
I love scholars who dig for verification of God's Word! Those are my celebrities, and believe me, none of them are the "in" people featured in "Christianity Today" or "Ivy-League Christian Colleges," or any hyped up religious gathering.
WE are the outcasts. Satan doesn't promote us.
We are the no-names, the shunned ones, the ones that get cast aside.
And yet the message is so simple: read your Bible. Weigh each word, cross reference, obey it! Repent from your sins of pride, envy, greed, lust, sloth, anger, and gluttony. Repent from these in your heart and ask God to forgive you! Be filled with His Spirit and walk in His Truth.
Study the commands of Christ. What did He tell his followers to do?
He told them to repent. Believe. Follow. Obey. Honor. Give. LOVE YOUR ENEMIES. The list goes on...
Why don't we just encourage each other to obey the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings?

It's all about the money.
The cow deserves its grain. The pastor deserves his salary. Just compensation is always righteous.
I am turned off by those who make millions in Ponzi schemes and fleecing the vulnerable seekers. It's easy to sell stuff that is easy on the ears (or heart).
Who pays to be insulted or convicted?
The Word of God convicts.
When I write these things I have a relatively small audience. I get only about 100 readers per post. I realize that I have unpopular things to say, but I was reminded (by someone who has to put up with me regularly) that I am an exhorter.
Exhorters are not popular. Ever. They are unloved.
I have never monetized my blog. I sometimes wonder how long I'll be able to write. I'm pretty anti-New World Order. Will the eye of the NWO-Sauron light on me? Eventually. Probably.
I do look for demons under every bush or behind each tree.
I'm suspicious by nature.
I'm suspicious of things I even support! President Trump, for instance. I am so thankful for him and his leadership, his pro-life stance, his pro-Israel stance! I'm thankful for his leadership and desire to get the economy going again----He appears to be anti-globalist and he talks about cleaning out the Deep State, the Swamp, all things that have been horrible powers in our lives, creeping into every aspect of government and strangling our puritanical freedoms. The complicit media obeys its every thought. Trump seems to be fighting this power tooth and nail, yet I still do not trust Trump. I trust God.
I'm fairly convinced that the Clintons are embroiled in the occult. I'm pretty certain that the Illuminati have incredible power in the Vatican, in the European Union, among the royal families, and control much of the economy already.
I'm watching all of this "Q" (anon) stuff and cheering on the hunt for those who are really satanic.
And yet "Q" isn't a movement of Jesus Christ. It promises a New World Order of its own.
Free energy, power. Could this be deception on steroids?
How easily we are swept in to what looks good! Be on guard, fellow lover of Jesus Christ. We have our hope in only one, and He is a jealous God.
We may approve of many things an anti-Christ may implement. He looks like Christ! We must remember to be cautious and see what pans out. This is a test of our truth and knowing the Word of God.
This virus has revealed some things about Bill Gates and Henry Kissinger, Bernie Sanders, and Joe Biden, leftists, Soros, Trump, Pence, Fauci, Birx, the Pope and the Jesuits, and many other players we read about in the news everyday, distracting us from the truth of God's Word.
Check things, but cling to the grid of God's bigger picture. Stick to the Christian worldview. Understand history and the powers that jockey into position for each era. Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money.
Ask God to supply all of your needs according to His riches. It may be bread and water, but He will provide. He knows what you need, what your spirit needs.
Did you watch that little testimony I posted previous to this? It may be a can of pop and a bag of shrimp something-or-others... ! God knows your need.
His bigger picture WILL play out, and YOU will have the privilege of watching HIS POWER UNLEASHED.
Here's a little health tip someone passed onto me: 3 oz. of tonic water (with quinine) and 50 mg of zinc every night before bed. Since this virus is somehow like malaria it responds to treatments that fight malaria. Taking a harmless amount of this little mixture could be a preventative. I am just passing on this information from someone I follow on Twitter. BTW grapefruit have quinine too, but you'd need to eat two every night. Maybe you should see if your meds can be coupled with quinine :) Add this to the advice from Dr. Riverwind I posted below.
Jesus IS coming. He promised. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life.
MARANATHA

Wedding Prep
Since we are expecting the return of our Messiah for us any day now we should be reminding ourselves that there is a wedding to prepare for.
I was able to be in two weddings as a young girl---a flower girl in my aunt's wedding, and a "junior bridesmaid" for my sweet cousin.
I have such wonderful memories of the time leading up to those events! There was an expectancy for me, even as little as I was, as I stood for the fittings of the dresses, the finery. The showers were fun, full of games and joy. I remember sniffing the bouquets of flowers right before walking up the aisle, so fresh and lovely!
I was honored to be a part of several weddings as a young woman, too, and then I prepared for my own beautiful wedding!
I've been blessed to see two of my children wed.
Weddings are wonderful.
Everyone is happy, everyone is celebrating! Everyone looks good and enjoys the fellowship and significance of the ceremony! There's cake to represent communion, perhaps a meal, even. Presents to anticipate...
Weddings are fun.
We cannot prepare for this upcoming wedding materially, but I think we should spend some time thinking about spiritual preparation.
The Bible exhorts us to "have our lamps full." We need to be watching. Are we ready, washed and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb?
We don't have a lot of time left, but I expect the Lord wants us to be joyfully preparing for this greatest of events in our lives. What if we took Him seriously and truly longed for that bridal week with Him?
He said He was preparing a mansion for us. He said He would come again and receive us to Himself, that where He is we'd be also.
That is a delightful promise, and a blessed hope for us.
Let's have some wedding anticipation, shall we?

Daily Encouragement
Got the housework in progress, and soon I must hit the books, but I wanted to offer a bit of hope today.
I have been touched by those of you who are reading this blog every day. I've been in contact with people who have looked for explanations and answers to what is happening in the world in light of prophecy.
I'm wanting to challenge you to stand out, to stand up for Christ right now. There is so much fear!
Frankly, there is such a confusing amalgamation of information about this virus that anyone could be cowed by it.
Here is my straight talk as of this week, for those of you who want to stay in touch and walk this path with me. I appreciate you, too! I thank God for you!
Here's what I THINK today: I think the virus was man-made, released by the disease center in Wuhan. I think that it was planned. There are all sorts of references made to this pandemic that you can find (like "China Caught a Cold" and secret society leaks). I think that it is deadly, like SARS or MERS. It could be worse than these, but not much worse. (That, from a German doctor.) I think that this virus is part of a global plan to implement greater control, or launch a "new order." That is from studying prophecy. There are plenty of people who scoff at prophecy. I know. But it sure is handy knowing what the Bible is prophesying when unpacking world events.
Here's what I do not know, or do not want to make an opinion on yet: death tolls. I'm not entirely convinced that the deaths reported were from Covid19 or from something else. Covid 19 may be already in our systems. We may test positive. We may show no symptoms. We may not get sick. Will we get sick? Have we already been sick from it?
Here is something I think: the economy will suffer. It already has. I've seen small businesses that cannot stay afloat with being closed this long. They are shutting permanently. What I don't know is how bad this economic hit will be. It could be terrible. You don't just stop the world from turning for a month and pretend you can press the start button again.
I've been thinking of having a reset button for a lot of things. There were terrible things in practice in the USA and in other countries. Things decay, deteriorate, fester, go bad. Even ideas with the best of intentions are sometimes found to be hollow to the core. And still they sap energy, funding, and effort from more worthy pursuits. It's time to let programs like that evaporate.
We watched "The Young Victoria" last week. There is much to learn from that movie. Albert came into the marriage and found that excessive waste was de rigueur in the queen's home. The dance of politics and outdated codes had been neglected and the young queen needed help. Albert was credited for many wise changes.
Wise changes are absolutely necessary. It's terribly sad when a country is so hateful toward one another (Have you ever seen such hatred before?) that a stalemate is about as good as it gets? This is where a new savior comes in, someone who is at least respected by all, who appeals to unity...
Aren't we ready for this messiah?
The whole world is looking for him.
Communism has failed, caused famine and oppression in every country. Socialism is communism. Capitalism is shunned for colonialism and oppression as well. Young people think that they can trust a totalitarian government more than a monopolistic private enterprise. They listen to their union teachers preach liberal progressivism and globalism daily. Personally, I'd like to see the government regulate such monopolies better instead of letting one or two just take over (like Google or Amazon). Perhaps a new messiah would find that balance between free enterprise and good government.
The stage is set.
Jesus is the only true king, but there is a false one about to take power. Free energy, utopia, for all for the price of a mark. Read about it in Revelation, the last book of the Bible.
In the meantime REPENT. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. Turn from your wicked ways and follow Him. There isn't much time left.
I hope to get back to work at at least one of my jobs before too long. I haven't been fired yet. My other job has been virtually cancelled. I'm not suffering. I am trying to concentrate on my studies for now. I'm learning.
The house needs my energy, my effort, my time too. It's spring and I need to clean.
I like the idea of cleaning out the yeasts for Passover. It's a good custom. We shouldn't get rid of it.
When Jesus is King there will be economy, temperance, and wisdom. We will be able to trust Him in all things. Never was there such a good, kind, loving, monarch.
Worthy of praise! He is coming!
Maranatha! Come Lord.

Is This the End?
For those of you prophecy watchers that keep abreast of events according to Scripture this post is not for you. It's for those who are fearful right now.
The question is answered "NO!"
We know that the onset of the Novel Corona Virus is the start of something new, but it is not the end.
Here's the prophetic timeline (simplified):
Creation
Jesus Messiah
Age of the Church
Tribulation
RETURN OF THE KING
1,000 Year Reign of Christ on Earth
White Throne Judgment
These are things we can know because Scripture declares them.
Therefore we at the very least 1,000 "years" from the White Throne Judgment.
So many ideas and questions arise from knowing this timeline and no one can definitively understand the nuts and bolts of its execution.
If you believe the Bible you can stand on its promises. If you question the validity of Scripture (higher criticism, etc.) you have literally nothing.
So as a believer in Christ we are seeing the time leading up to the Tribulation. The time of Tribulation is characterized by many different events, one of which is a New World Order, led by "The" Anti-Christ.

To Encourage
Unprecedented Times, everyone is saying it, and it is true.
Things I am gleaning from all of my sources are hardly bright, sunny, and cheerful. We are facing change as never before in our lifetimes.
There is a rub for those who are looking for heavenly redemption and watching the whirlpool of events on earth. We see both, we are realists, we know that things all play out according to plan.
There are some very awful things: the Deep State, Communism, Socialism, Social Justice, The Cabal, Globalism, Crime, the Illuminati, Luciferianism, Islam, Satanism, Witchcraft, Paganism, the Occult, the New Age, Liberalism, the Jesuits, Evil, Pandemics, Earthquakes, Deception, New World Order, EU, UN, Eugenics, Abortion, Suicide, Drug Abuse, Prosperity Gospel, Homelessness, Addiction, Mental Illness, Genetic Entropy,...
The list goes on. The Devil has lots of ideas for deceiving humans. There are those that are horrible to even mention.
Every wile of the Devil is a base mimicry of God's perfect plan. The devil mocks God and turns everything inside out. His deceptions are completely reasonable to the mind born in sin, steeped in sin. Remember, we are fallen. Our hearts are not good. The entire Bible is based on this premise: we are sinners, led astray. Jesus is our Savior. Only Jesus, Jesus alone.
How our proud hearts reject this! We prefer our own idolatry to the true lover of our souls.
How do we face the day anymore? Are these predictions of the global order by the World Economic Forum and the powers that be coming true?
We are all skeptics now.
As a watcher I am not afraid to draw attention to things that are happening that go against Christ and His plan for salvation.
I see many people trying to sanction things that never should be a part of our faith. If there is a question, don't go there. If your spirit has reservations you must probe deeper. How easy it is jump on the bandwagon just because something appears "good." How easily we are deceived.
This is a time of purification. If you are alarmed by our current situation in the world perhaps this is a time to question where you are spiritually. Are you following Truth?
Some think that being religious is the answer to eternal issues. It is not.
I firmly believe in the Rapture of the church. There are many arguments against it, one of which I find most amusing; that it is a figment of the imagination of a girl who lived in the 1800's. If you haven't heard this argument it is truly ridiculous.
Martin Luther lived in the 1500's. He is credited with founding the Reformation, a truth which needed to be brought out against the apostasy of the Roman Catholic Church. Darby, (1800-1882) often accredited with "inventing" the Rapture, was a Bible scholar much like the monks of the Reformation. He is grossly misinterpreted and misunderstood. Typical of the devil's deception the truth of the Rapture was twisted. The Plymouth Brethren are a very Biblically based denomination, far more so than most mainline denominations. Darby was part of that group. Even the Plymouth Brethren have drifted, Biblically, in these recent years, but there is still a very strong Bible-based faith there.
Just because there are "new" discoveries from Scripture, teachings that are brought to light like "Faith Alone" or "Rapture" doesn't disqualify their truth. Truth is truth.
It may come as a surprise, but many prominent liberals grew up in the Plymouth Brethren church. I'm thinking of Garrison Keillor, but also others. Their rejection of truth is profound.
The Rapture is a wholly Biblical doctrine. The Bible teaches a hope for the Bride of Christ at the time of Jacob's Trouble (the Great Tribulation, the Seventh Week of Daniel) from all of Scripture. The Jewish feasts symbolize the entire span of time and key events within them, primarily those events regarding Jesus Christ!
We have hope in these latter days. Those that diminish that hope are tools of the devil. The devil fosters fear, disillusionment, lies. Too many scoff at the Blessed Hope. Too many are double-minded, preferring the intellectual snobbery of higher criticism.
The Bible is plainly teaching the Blessed Hope of the Rapture.
Truthfully, I was raised in a Bible-believing home and I wasn't much of a church historian as a child. I simply believed what was written in Scripture. This simple reading of Scripture (without someone's interpretation) led to a strong belief in prophecy. It led to a strong reliance on the teachings of Christ. My faith journey was based on knowing Bible stories from the Old and New Testaments, and growing in light of those Biblical characters who taught lessons of sin's consequence and God's power.
Simple faith, simple understanding, simple trust: these are my mainstays.
Jesus is coming. Repent from your sin. Watch as prophecy plays out before your eyes.
Remember that the blinders of evil mask most spiritual eyes.
If you want your eyes to be opened pray to receive Christ as your savior!
The Beast system is coming. His mark is open to interpretation, but you will soon see that you cannot "buy or sell" without allegiance to this system. We see the political situation already lined up for the end times. We see earthquakes, extinction of animals, climate change (believe me, we haven't seen anything yet!), pestilence, economic upheaval (have you read the predictions??), apostasy, and the inversion of good and evil. What was good is now evil, what was evil is now good.
Is God's Word true?
Of course. It proves itself true every single day.
Believe the Truth, or believe a lie. Your choice.
Come to Jesus!
Maranatha!
Maranatha!
Passover Details Fulfilled in Jesus
Joseph Farah's book, "The Gospel in Every Book of the Old Testament" is a wonderful "read."
Here I quote from the chapter about Exodus, about the Passover. (pp. 22-23)
"-Each family was to sacrifice a lamb (v.3). Jesus is the Lamb of God (John 1:29).
-The lamb must be without blemish (v. 5). Jesus also had to be ---and was---without sin (1 Peter 1:19; Hebrews 4:15).
-The lamb must be slain by "the whole assembly of the congregation" (v.6). Jesus was sentenced to death on the cross by "the multitude" of "the people" (the assembly) who cried "Crucify him" (Mark 15:8-14).
-The blood of the lamb must be sprinkled on the lintels and doorposts of each dwelling (v.22). Think of what that blood-spattered door would look like---forming the image of a cross.
-Each inhabitant of the house must feed upon the lamb (v.4). To be saved, everyone must partake of the Lamb of God (John 6:51-56).
-The lamb must be eaten with the bitter herbs and unleavened bread (v. 8). These requirements foreshadow the need for true penitence, obedience, and sincerity through Jesus' offering of salvation."
As we approach this season of Passover, the remembrance of the cross and Resurrection Sunday we can remember that the pattern was set from the beginning of time.

Corgi's Tips for Getting Back on Track
Just so you know, right off the bat, I fail everyday. Take my tips for what they are worth!
And yet, 25 years of homeschooling four college graduates, (the fifth is a full time college student), countless books have been read, I HAVE JUST A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE on motivation, and that is the key to NOT WASTING TIME.
I am working on a degree in public administration, and believe me, the last weeks have challenged me in ways I never thought of!
If you go back in my blog you will find some posts about getting through difficult times. I have seen the Lord's help and with His strength we've navigated some pretty rough storms.
Joblessness
Cancer
Anxiety
Illness
Loss
Some of my advice sounds ridiculously infantile. I agree. It is those days of stark shock that the infantile becomes so vital.
For my kids I had several laminated lists and white boards with these 10 things written:
1. Get Up
2. Eat Breakfast
3. Use the bathroom
4. Wash yourself
5. Brush your hair
6. Brush your teeth
7. Get dressed
8. Make your bed
9. Clean your room
10. Chore
My mom said that these tips can be assigned to a finger for a young child, and they can do them practically automatically.
After these 10 Things we would have an hour (or more) of Reading Time, always started with Scripture. After that we "Unschooled."
I always had several math curriculums lying around, particularly Saxon. Our house has its own library, particularly Children's Literature, which was one of my concentrations at the University of Minnesota (My other concentration was German, my major was Education). There was plenty of reading going on all day, everyday.
I had a menu for the week's suppers which really helped me:
Monday: Beef
Tuesday: Chicken
Wednesday: Italian
Thursday: Surprise!
Friday: Fish
Saturday: Burgers and Shakes
Sunday: (if needed ---we often ate at "The Club" (Costco), or potluck at church) stir fry
It rarely got too boring because you can use so many different recipes with these perimeters. The kids helped with cooking often. I loved grinding my wheat berries and making fresh bread with our OWN honey. The kids made their own lunches and breakfasts. I supervised. I made sure the four basic food groups were covered (caffeine, salt, sugar, and grease! Just kidding ;)_.)
Those were the days.
I read "Confessions of an Organized Housewife" and "Sink Reflections." I recommend "Sink Reflections" to everyone.
I read organization books out loud to the kids. I read etiquette books out loud to them. I read great works of fiction out loud. I read whatever was important out loud. I'd read fitness and diet books, theology, prophecy, history, cookbooks....I covered ALL THE SUBJECTS.
Having a husband who has a degree in English Literature was very helpful as well. We had very refined taste in our family media choices----it's what we like.
It's fun to hear what my now adult children remember about growing up home-schooled. There are resentments and disappointments, but pretty much happy memories stand out. Cherie has had the most different experience, mainly because of Ed's cancer and our move to the country. She has been far more independent than the other four. She also has team sports, cross country and track, to participate in. The others all became life guards.
We spent a lot of time OUTSIDE. I think this is incredibly important. Children need to be outside discovering God's creation intimately.
So, do you have something in mind for supper? Have you done your 10 things? Had you had devotions yet? Spend an hour or two outside with the pup, or just yourself.
What project has needed doing? Can you get at least a half an hour done on it? My studies say that even one half hour spent on the most important thing will give an incredible productivity and accomplishment.
I finished two yarn projects during this time of quarantine, as well as my project for my class. The house is getting spring-cleaned, and the trees are getting (slowly) processed. We've tried new recipes and we've been OUTSIDE! I'm checking my phone once or twice a day to keep up with news and you all, but overall I'm getting things done. Every month I make a list of things that are important to me. It's quite long. I'm always encouraged by seeing what is crossed off, done, as the months go by. Life is full, incredible, worthwhile, interesting.
Get something done! Don't waste this precious opportunity of time.
Classes started up again on Monday for me and Cheri. Ed's started already again last week. Everything is online, so it's an adjustment, especially for the kids. Margaret is a sunny bright spot in all of our lives, helping cook and do projects. She's using this time wisely to prepare for the summer.
I can't wait to see my new little granddaughter again! I only got to see her once before we all stayed home. It's been two weeks and although I'm experiencing the usual spring allergy stuff we're all pretty sure we don't have the dreaded virus. I'm thinking and hoping we can meet with them soon.
Back to work...:)
