Only what's done for Christ will last."

Purity of Heart

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+97%3A9-12&version=NKJV

Psalm 97:9-12 (NKJV)

For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth;
You are exalted far above all gods.
10 You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
And gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous,
And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.[a]

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a benefit to following Christ. There is a benefit to having a pure soul, an upright heart.

God will preserve you.

Many times I have wondered if it is worth it to align myself with other believers against sinful behaviors, or ideas that go against Scripture. I sometimes wonder if taking a stand is effective.

I think it is.

I think there are powers in the unseen realm that try to keep us from standing firm, and it comes at great cost. Sometimes relationships suffer, sometimes there are "accidents" that occur. Sometimes we have to endure a period of spiritual drought.

Sometimes we are killed.

I think that facing fear is the most important thing any of us can do on this earth. We need to know that our fears are nothing to God. He knows every thought. He knows every atom and holds it together personally.

In Him we live and move and have our being.

I think that many of us think He's rather smaller than He really is. We look around us at the suffering of mankind and we cannot imagine a kind, just, and merciful God.

We fail.

Those are the days when I particularly pray, "MARANATHA!"

I am tired of keeping on keeping on. I want the Maker of the Universe to make it all right. I want out, to be done here, to leave it all behind!

We all have those thoughts, right? Oh, yeah, it only happens to those of us who suffer.

We sufferers want out.

But we know that our Comforter understands. He gives us assurance when we most need it. He convicts us of our sin, He reminds us of His promises. He helps us be patient. He gives us hope.

Today was not a good day. Something went amiss with the dishwasher in our new house. Water everywhere----dripping through vents and through cracks down into the basement. There's hardwood on the floor in the basement, so we scrambled with towels and buckets. Boo-hoo. What a mess.

Ugh, I'll probably have to repaint. :(

Yesterday Ed had a particularly painful spinal tap. His bi-polar medications need tweaking. He hurts and was told that he MUST swim three days a week, minimum, to reduce the limp in his walk. Yesterday I saw the endocrinologist and learned that I am just a big baby where my thyroid is concerned. The doctor basically told me that yes, the thyroid isn't normal, but she's seen far worse. Why are you complaining, anyway?

Ya. I'm a big baby.

But I know that the GREAT Father in heaven is my intimate helper and healer. I go to him when things look bleak.

Sometimes you stand by your convictions at great cost to your loved ones. People aren't necessarily so understanding of your own life path. They truly want you to sanction their ways and their life choices, even when you have an entirely different philosophy and worldview.

That hurts.

I think Hollywood is full of movies of people coming together and compromising. I don't see life that way. Hollywood is, well, Hollywood.

We DO think differently, we DO disagree. We do have different convictions.

My dad is a total tee-teetotaler. I don't drink alcohol either, but I have no issue with beer steins or wine glasses. To please my dad, who is now a regular visitor, I moved the goblets out of sight. Sometimes we do that for people.

I could just stand my ground and thumb my nose in his face.....
but that would not be showing respect. I don't try to antagonize my dad.

We've talked here about dancing, drinking, drugs, and divorce. I'm old-school on all of these. a Traditionalist, I'd say.

I'm also pretty hard line on fornication (sex before marriage) and filthy language. Pornography is a big no-no. I have issues with perverted sexual function, whatever it may be.

I decided a long time ago that I would not support that type of behavior.

Sadly I've seen many people give in to it, only to find themselves toying with the doctrines of demons.

I pray that eyes may be opened, that repentance occur, that lifestyles would show the power of the Holy Spirit.

That transformation would come to those who espouse lives of filth.

There are so many powerful testimonies from around the world, of lives sold out to Christ, pure, godly, and blameless.

I want that. My convictions may not be yours, but I certainly would hope that yours would align with God's.

You know what His are, don't you?

Purity.

And soon the pure in heart shall see God. It's in the Bible.

When darkness and judgment falls on the earth those who thought God would wink at sin and "let them in" will despise Him. They will look away from His light. They will be happy to choose an eternal life of hell.

I don't want that.

Only Jesus saves. Not Mary. Not good works. Not yourself. Jesus alone. Jesus alone.

We finished the first part of "Vanya," a story about a young Russian soldier in the early 1970's. He was tortured and martyred for his faith in Christ by the KGB.

It is quite a story. I wish you all could read it. It is the testimony of one who gave all for his powerful faith in Christ. It is a story of spiritual purity. Of a heart that sees God.

May that be my heart. Your heart.

May you see God.

It's not long now. The signs are happening like a ticker tape machine, chattering off all over the world. The economy is tanking, the hurricane is about to plaster the east coast. The animals are perishing. The elite are showing signs of wear and tear.

Hillary's going down. The powerful politicians are seeing their feet of clay. In my über-liberal state of Minnesota all I see are Bernie Sanders bumper stickers. The guy who honeymooned in Russia, so affiliated with communism! What are people thinking?

I admit that the GOP has little to offer. Ben Carson is my guy, still. The times are so dark we hardly care.

Look at Europe. Here comes a powerful people with an even more powerful ideology----certifiably the doctrine of demons---and they are being welcomed into transforming the continent--- lock, stock, and barrel.

Wake up! Purify your hearts!

Choose life this day.

May you have a spiritual re-birth. Today.

Today is the day of salvation.

Maranatha.

Catching Up

We've had a few action packed weeks here at Corgi Hollows.

It's all been fun and games, some pain, new experiences, and intense living.

We had the son of dear friends in Munich visit for a week, and we took him to:

Church
Our old house
A bonfire with Margaret's friends
The Mall of America---rides, shopping, and mini-golf
Minneapolis, the Mill Museum
Kramarczuks on Hennepin Ave.
Margaret's birthday party
Duluth harbor
Minnesota Point--to try and swim (freezing!!!)
The Army Corps of Engineers Maritime Museum in Canal Park
Grandma's (the marathon restaurant)
St. Paul
The Minnesota History Museum
Mickey's Diner
Minnehaha Falls and the statue of Hiawatha and Minnehaha
The Chain of Lakes --Calhoun, Harriet, and Nokomis, at least
Lake Minnetonka
Caribou Coffee (we visited Margaret's branch)
Dairy Queen and Perkins (typisch Amerikanisch)
The Mall of America for the second time
Target (For cheaper prices)
A Friday evening Twins game, but it was rained out and postponed
(At least he got to go into the gorgeous stadium and hang around for an hour)

Are you tired yet?
I had a blast, but all the driving and fun was certainly a challenge for this sick old gal. Thankfully one of my dearest friends and two of her boys came along and made this whole week twice as fun!

My husband and I went to the postponed game after bringing M to the airport bright and early on Saturday. M is off to sunny and dry California for a week!  We had a wonderful time with him.

After nine innings of baseball I took off for a prophecy conference being held only a mile from the Twins stadium. My husband endured 3 more innings of overtime until the Twins kissed the victory good-bye.

The Twins have been fun to watch this year. They are an exciting baseball team! I'm partial to Brian Dozier, as he has publicly and staunchly declared himself to be a man of faith. He's also an incredible ball player.

The prophecy conference was put on by Midwest Hebrew Ministries.

This organization has been around for almost 40 years, and it has an annual conference which I've attended in the past. This is a great organization, but lacks some key elements of administration---like a good website---but I think the Lord uses it in amazing ways anyway.

I happened to see that an interesting speaker whose blog I follow was one of the conference featured guests. I happened to see it just the evening before!

I took off for the conference from the game just as he began speaking so I missed his opening remarks. L.A. Marzulli is controversial to say mildly. He's very prepared, a bit like I imagine P.T. Barnum was, and very un-Minnesotan.

He talks about UFOs, the Nephilim, and the New World Order. Stuff that makes you squirm.

Interesting. Minnesotans sometimes say that when they are trying to be kind.

He formerly adhered to the Hindu faith, particularly aligning himself with a famous guru. I read his autobiography, and it was fascinating. He found the Lord, and the rest is history. You can check out his work at his blog: https://lamarzulli.wordpress.com/

The other speaker at the conference was Dr. Rob Linsted. He is a regular at this particular conference. He always brings updates of how close we are to Biblical prophecy fulfillment.

Yes, we are closer. Before you say "duh," think about the doomsday clock. There are times and have been times when world events suggest a more imminent threat to world society.

Things seem on the cusp of spiraling out of control.

Then things quiet down and we enjoy peace and safety for a season. This is not to say that we are safe! It seems so, however.

I was reading the article in the recent Saturday Evening Post about Robert and Kitty Oppenheimer. It was a telling of the nuclear testing that happened back in the 1940's  in Los Alamos. After seeing the results of his bomb creation he immediately felt remorse, and quoted Dante, all about being the inventor of death.

He isn't that, and it wasn't doomsday. It was just another chapter in the history of warfare.

But I imagine that anyone seeing a nuclear bomb blast, a hydrogen bomb blast, or any type of awesome power unleashed thinks about The End.

The clock was pretty close to midnight that day.

We are looking at an unprecedented September. We're in it right now. Significant Jewish feast days, meetings between global elites, astronomical anomalies, all happening within a short month in human history.

These are fascinating times. Unprecedented. The clock seems to be almost midnight. But perhaps peace and safety will prevail again.

Yesterday and today we celebrate birthdays here. For two weeks I had one teenager in the house (the first time in over ten years) and now I no longer have a young child. My baby is a teenager! (AHHHHH!)

We are celebrating appropriately with cake and tea.

Both days.

Yesterday was the first day I didn't leave the house in weeks. I cleaned, did laundry, caught up on my calendar and enjoyed the peace of the countryside.

Our old house has had several showings, but no one has offered yet. I know that it sits on a very busy road, Highway 18, and that may frighten prospective buyers. I wish they knew that having an acre of yard buffers the feeling of a busy road. No, it isn't the country---it's in the suburbs---and very close to almost anything necessary---but there is a woodsy feel to the place, and you won't know that unless you actually live there.

If it doesn't sell perhaps someone may be interested in renting it.

I admit that I hate to see it leave the family----but so goes the ways of change.

Now that school has started in this new neighborhood we feel more settled in this new house. Each month that passes we feel we understand this change better. I'm so introspective that I feel I've been on auto-pilot for months now.

I'm still coming to grips with a life change that was completely off my radar just five months ago!

We are not harvesting our honey this year due to the incredible busyness of our lives. The bees will keep their store for the winter. I will pray that they stay healthy and alive until spring.

Now for an update on Ed. So many of you have asked.

"Maintenance" is pretty easy to endure. We go into the clinic at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis once a month. There he gets two infusions, one chemotherapy and one "rescue drug" for his Avascular Necrosis.

His left knee is basically gone due to the prednisone chemotherapy. He still takes 6MP every night, and once a week he takes a large dose of Methotrexate. He gets that in a spinal tap once every 3 or 4 months too.

Of the original chemotherapy drugs used to treat B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) he is now on about half of them. Let's all pray that these will work for him and he can beat cancer!

Ed came down with a bad cold last week, but since there was no fever we did not go to the clinic. Cherie and Margaret got the bug too, so we've had sniffles and coughs to manage.

Margaret started her last semester of college and promptly had to miss most of this week due to that virus. She's got a graduate level course this semester, her senior project, an internship at a French Immersion School in North Minneapolis, besides two jobs-----a coffee drink maker at Caribou AND life-guarding at the local YMCA.

Yes. She's busy. She seems happy with her lot. Her class on French-Algerian literature requires much reading, so at least she can sit in one place for a few minutes here and there.

Cherie, whose birthday we celebrate today, has started a "Wranglers" class with a new friend. Working with the horses and meeting a few new girls is the objective, and she is enjoying it. She's putting herself into her math course work with more diligence this year, and I'm thrilled to see that.

The joys of homeschooling. If there is one advantage to homeschooling it is seeing things "click" academically at just the right moment. There is no angst about "not getting it" or delay. Each child is his own standard. It makes for super self confidence in each subject.

So, I'm going to breathe deeply for a few days. A wedding is coming up that we are helping with, and the fall yardwork commences, but I'm going to savor these first days of fall.

The last blood moon occurs on the 28th, so be sure to look up! It's also the Feast of Tabernacles, so all of the significance is not to be missed!

Kundalini Warning

Happy Jewish New Year!

It's a new day, a new year.

The 29th of Alul has come and gone------

But this day is not over yet.

We are in a "window" of fascinating times, September 11 to September 28.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.

I admit that I am sad that Christ didn't come this past weekend. Aren't YOU???

If you aren't disappointed you'd most likely need to check your priorities. WE SHOULD ALL BE WATCHING!

Jesus WILL come, and as our pastor preached yesterday, Jesus IS God, and no one else can claim that.

There are gods and powers, and principalities, but there is only ONE GOD----YHWH, the Creator, Yeshuah HaMashiach, Savior. His word is truth, and when HE says He is coming, He is.

And we are to watch and wait.

Last night my husband and I started a new ministry. We visited a county jail. This is what we are committing our Sunday nights to, for the time being. I met with seven women, and we had a sweet time of fellowship. I'm looking forward to our next time together. One of the women will be out by then, but the others should be there. There's lots of turnover in the jail, and that's a good thing.

Sentences served, sentences filled.

In many ways we are all "serving sentences" and the big question is how to do it well, and come out of it with a greater capability to LIVE.

We talked about fear, about focusing on Christ, about brokenness. We sang songs and we prayed together.

I remember, "There but for the grace of God go I..."

If you feel prideful about your law abiding life you need to remember what you are in the eyes of God------a sinner. Lost, judged, condemned.

But by Christ's sacrifice you can be redeemed.

 Believe today.

We have a young man, a good friend, from Germany visiting us this week. Lots of fun is planned!

So far we've been out to eat "American" and been to church. He got to visit our old house (which is empty, and still waiting for a new family to buy it!), and he went to a campfire with a bunch of young folks, friends of Margaret.

We walked out to the bee hives to stare at the Milky Way Galaxy last night. What a clear and beautiful starry night! Our friend, M, doesn't see the stars much for light pollution in Europe.

It's a beautiful day to visit the Mall of America, so that's where we're headed to shop and play mini-golf.

Wishes and More, the wish fulfillment organization which gifted Ed this past June, gave him free tickets to play the mini-golf course there at the Mall. We saved them for a special occasion, and we are using them with our friend from Munich!

It should be a fun day.

If the stock market crashes sometime soon (like today), don't worry. God holds you in His hands. This is a time to look up to Him for provision.

A few more things on the agenda for the week----a trip to Lake Superior, a Twins' game, and time at the Minnesota Historical Society museums, particularly the "Mill City Museum" in downtown Minneapolis.

 Come join us!!

We have a fun week planned, and the weather looks promising.

It's beautiful this September.

I'm listening for the trumpets everyday!

Heads up, people!

Conspiracy

Time

Here's a question for you today; If God has already created all of time and He can see the whole play-out, the interdimensional aspect, and all, then he and probably other spiritual beings can pin point events on that timeline. I believe that heavenly bodies also require "time" to prepare for events and are not instant participants.
We know that the supernatural intersects with the natural, and there is a greater knowledge belonging to supernatural dimension.
Could we not suggest that the heavenly bodies may already be aware of Christ's return for us?
There are clues, friends. God's timing is perfect and He isn't silent. We see that He is near!

What to Believe?

It's coming, folks, it's coming.

That is the inevitable.

Now is the time to prepare, spiritually, at a minimum.

The world will end one day. Energy will run out, the sun will die, life will cease. It's inevitable.

Scientists have appeased our minds, reassuring us that we have billions of years....

But that is completely without proof. We have no idea when the end of the world will be. Really.

But it isn't next week, for sure.

When you believe in something completely outside of your own imagination you have an advantage. You have surety. You have a basis for rationality.

If you have made up something to believe in---whether it's provable science or your own version of God---you are on always on shaky ground.

Provable science? So limited. We know far less than what is.

Religion? Idolatry. All religion has a component of idolatry-----a definition that is man-made, or for "Christians" extra-biblical.

So what to believe?

The Bible. You have the gift of the Word of God, amazingly preserved and handed down to this generation, full of supernatural fingerprints, and completely reliable.

What an advantage.

Ditch organized religion and hang your hat on something reasonable!

God's Word is sufficient.

There are some intriguing events prophesied in the Word of God. Prophecy makes up about 1/3 of the Bible, and much of it has already been fulfilled.

There is this part about a "seven year Tribulation," " Jacob's Trouble," "The Period of Wrath."  Some call it "The Apocolypse."

It's written about in several places. Old and New Testaments. Jesus Himself speaks of it at length. (Matthew 24,25 in particular).

Some say it describes the end of the world.

It doesn't. There is a time on earth to come of peace and safety, also according to Biblical prophecy. But first the bad happens.

Bible believers have speculated since the time of Christ about this seven year period. Is it imagery? Has it happened? What do the specific signs actually mean? People have been watching for "signs" for millennia.

So what's the big deal?

Well, it is just that signs are incredibly prevalent right now. This actually could be the time of the beginning of the seven-year-tribulation.

Why?

Natural catastrophes increased  (earthquake uptick), economic change on a global scale (New World Order feasibility), persecution of believers (the last century has seen the most martyrdom of any time period for Christian belief), pestilence (the figures are astronomical and the suffering horrific), moral failure, and heresy/apathy in "The Church."

Those of us who lean toward the Jewish roots of our faith are struck by the significance of the patterns God gave through the feasts and appointments He ordained. Yes, they are significant. They are given for signs, for seasons, says the Word.

I think this September is a big player in the the whole prophecy out-working scheme. Here's why:

1. Completely unrelated sources converge on the importance of this month in world history. (Both Luciferian and Bible believers)

2. Secrets have become known. Knowledge has increased. We simply know more.

3. There are several witnesses coming forth about the spiritual signs we are seeing and how they could relate to Bible prophecy fulfillment. This is not a "Harold Camping" moment. Too many different sources conclude that September 2015 is a special appointment of some type.

4. The time is ripe. There just isn't time for things to be sustainable spiritually or environmentally much longer. Things MUST come to a head soon. (Exhibit A: the Economy, and the 18 Trillion dollar debt)

I have a host of other reasons to think that we are seeing the commencement of a time of trouble. I've tried to put up articles and video clips. There's just too much to mention here.

So how do I prepare for this time of trouble?

The Bible is pretty clear about this.

You must abandon idolatry-----the god of your own making---and believe in, put your faith in Yeshua Hamashiach. Jesus Christ. The Messiah. You must repent of your sin and ask the Holy Spirit to awaken your dead spirit---fill you with His power, and His wisdom. You are to become holy.

You must change.

You must "devour" the Word of God. READ YOUR BIBLE. Let the Holy Spirit give you the understanding. You could literally open the Bible anywhere and start reading and become spiritually fed when you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

If you are spending an hour in the Word every day you will be convinced of the reality of the spiritual world. You will never be the same. You'll be better.

Call upon the Lord. Cry out to Him. He will defeat the evil in your life, and you will be spiritually victorious.

Oh, but, wait...........you're going to have to give up that addiction. You're going to have to see things His way. You're going to have to adopt His views on sexuality, morality, generosity, and life in general.

You may have to suffer for that. You might be rejected by a bunch of people who you really love. You might be called a nut-case, fool, or some other bad name.

That is possible.

Don't worry. God's power is strong enough to save the vilest sinner, conquer the greatest addiction, defeat the devil himself---in whatever form he appears in your life---sexual sin, lust, gluttony, anger, pride, greed, sloth, or envy.

You'll have the power.

And the icing on the cake is that you will COMPLETELY MISS THE TIME OF TROUBLE because Jesus promised us a blessed hope of a seven "day" bridal feast.

The Church is the Bride of Christ. The church isn't that building on the corner----it is the body of Bible-believers. Those that actually believe the Word of God, have faith in God, and have repented from sin. WE have become righteous through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross. We are to live out the fruits of the Spirit, showing HIS righteousness in our lives. Every aspect of them.

That is the only way to prepare for this upcoming time of trouble.

It's coming. Really.

YOU must prepare.

Doug Wilson

Why I don't drink alcohol

In Light of Things Today

It's interesting that I had the same thought as Dr. Brown in the following clip.

As abortion rights were made legal back in the 1970's and now we see how horrific abortion is----

So I predict that the LGBT agenda will be moot in a few decades.

Christianity is not defined by the individual. It is defined by God Himself.

In the Bible.

True belief has survived lions in Rome, camps in Siberia, caves in Cappadocia, concentration camps in Europe, prisons in Asia, terrorists in Africa, and now post-modernism in America.

Christianity will survive. Biblical belief will never fade.

If religious freedom is to be banned in this great country, some of us will go down with the ship. It's just that simple.

And believe me, without the moral framework of the God-given laws (given by His own hand to Moses, but understood by Cain and Abel) this country and any country will suffer.

As China, Russia, and any other atheistic philosophy driven government has suffered.

True belief will land many of us in jail, counter to the laws of the land. I'm so glad I just read "The Man Who Stayed Behind" by Sidney Rittenberg. One may be jailed/abused/ gassed/tortured for one's beliefs, but only by much-maligned governments.

It all comes out in the end. There is a re-awakening of true and righteous belief at some point, always--------------

Or we see it ALL end. That is, the end of the world.

Could be the latter.

Bring it on. Maranatha.

And remember: the age of the kindest, truest, sweetest form of society will be only remembered. A Christian nation is the most tolerant of all. Christianity is the most loving of all philosophies. Christianity is defined by love.

Pure love.

Holly B comments on a facebook post : (good scripture references)

Here are a few verses that show the rapture takes place *prior* to the wrath of the tribulation. There are many more verses that talk about the rapture, but I'm only listing a few that show "PRE" tribulation below:
[Isa 26:20] Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee:
hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.
[Isa 26:21] For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the
earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
[Isa 57:1] The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
[Mal 3:16] Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD
hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that
feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
[Mal 3:17] And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my
jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
[Pss 97:10] Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
[Luke 21:36] Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
[1 Thessalonians 1:10] And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
[1 Thessalonians 5:9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
[Rom 5:9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
[2Pet 2:9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
[Rev 2:22] Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
[Rev 3:10] Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth.
[Revelation 4:1] After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
[Rev 8:13] And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth [those not raptured?] by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
[Rev 19:1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven [the raptured?], saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
Finally, read all of Psalm 27, which is supposed to be read daily, every day for 30 days, during the 30 day time period of repentance that come prior to the Feast of Trumpets, also known as 'the last trump' the 'day that no man knows but the father', the day that comes 'like a thief in the night', also known as the 'wedding of the messiah', --and the Church is the Bride of Christ (Ephesians 5)
[Pss 27:1] The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
[Pss 27:2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
[Pss 27:3] Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
[Pss 27:4] One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
[Pss 27:5] For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
[Pss 27:6] And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
[Pss 27:7] Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
[Pss 27:8] When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
[Pss 27:9] Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
[Pss 27:10] When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
[Pss 27:11] Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
[Pss 27:12] Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
[Pss 27:13] I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
[Pss 27:14] Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
And there are many, many more verses that show that God saves his people during all kinds of trouble and tribulation.  In fact, you could say that God's mercy and deliverance is a major theme of the Bible.  There are no less than 6 examples of the pre-tribulation rapture in Genesis alone; (Noah and Lot are only two).

From Last Year, Still Fresh

Sodom Story

Sodom’s Depravity

19 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. And he said, “Here now, my lords, please turn in to your servant’s house and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.”
And they said, “No, but we will spend the night in the open square.”
But he insisted strongly; so they turned in to him and entered his house. Then he made them a feast, and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.
Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.
So Lot went out to them through the doorway, shut the door behind him, and said, “Please, my brethren, do not do so wickedly! See now, I have two daughters who have not known a man; please, let me bring them out to you, and you may do to them as you wish; only do nothing to these men, since this is the reason they have come under the shadow of my roof.”
And they said, “Stand back!” Then they said, “This one came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.” So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door. 10 But the men reached out their hands and pulled Lot into the house with them, and shut the door. 11 And they struck the men who were at the doorway of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they became weary trying to find the door.

I just watched a BBC clip about a woman who is a county clerk refusing to sign marriage licenses. I think you can find it if you look for it. You would be amazed at the similarity of the Bible story to this video clip. Astounding.

If you are thinking about the economic collapse on the horizon it would behoove you to become acquainted with him.

His specialty in prophecy is finance and the economy.

Very helpful information. Don't miss!

Elites Preparing?

Some really good information in this article.

http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/2015/August31/312a.html

I'm not sure if I'm ready to pin an identity on the "Mystery Babylon." I think I still lean toward New York City.

Halley's Bible Handbook has an intriguing appendix fingering the Roman Catholic Church.

I guess we'll see.

Calendar Change!

Just had a wonderful weekend with old friends and new. We had a birthday dinner on the porch, impromptu, and picnics, time for games, and general mayhem (which usually occurs when Corgi Hollows is in B & B mode!)

It was a rip-roaring way to end the summer.

I was thrilled to get to know this new family who stayed here over the weekend. He is a Bible professor, and she, a home-schooling, flute-playing, mother of five (three boys and two girls) just like I am.

She even named one of her black cats "Kiwi!"

I found a kindred spirit, for sure!

Our kids are even the same ages. Remarkable. My dear friend, who also was with us for the weekend, has told us how similar we are for years. It was fun to finally meet.

I've been posting things here on Corgi Hollows about current prophecy issues and naturally I'm fascinated by what is going on in the world.

If you have any fear whatsoever, you need to go to the Great One Who Alleviates Fear.

Overcoming fear is a lesson we all must learn, to varying degrees, and I can assure you that I've had to take it multiple times.

Hiding from the fearsome is NOT the answer to conquering fear. Take it from me. You must face your fear---whether it is cancer, rejection, dysfunction, bodily harm, loss, or death.

It's the only way to live.

So in that light I want to encourage all of us to look up-----our redemption draws nigh----and prepare for the coming of the Bridegroom.

Believers, we are to be filled with the Spirit! We are to be asking for His "oil" for our lamps, and doing the work that He gives us in preparation for that day.

I think it is soon. I'm watching.

If the Lord DOES NOT come back this fall, and the prophecies of Daniel, Revelation and Ezekiel DO NOT unfold soon, I am unfazed.

Because I'm doing what I've always been doing. I'm watching.

When the focus is on things above the things on earth just cease to matter.

Of all the preachers I like to read I think A.W. Tozer resonates with me more than any other.

Some like Spurgeon, some like Vance Havner, some like Moody...Edwards, Goforth, Luther, Calvin, MacArthur, Torrey, Gothard, Stott, Packer, Sproul, Watchman Nee, Keller, Piper, Ironside, Wesley, Barnhouse, Nouwen, ----

Did I miss your favorite?

We all have favorites, and we all read their works, looking for insight into our own lives. We all choose paths that seem right to us. I would implore you to let these fine men be only your helpers.

Because the bottom line is this: The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword and it is sufficient to any believer.  We need to be reading the word of God, steeping ourselves in it, and daily falling in love with our LORD Jesus Christ, Yeshua, MESSIAH, the Lamb of God.

HE takes away the sin of the world.

He should be our focus, our driving force, our fear reducer, our lover.

Every single one of us is a faulty sinner, even to this day. We are subject to temptations and mistakes. We choose paths that give us grief and sorrow  instead of the best ones.

We are faulty. Even those esteemed theologians I mentioned above.

The real test is depicted in Matthew 24 and 25, when the Son of Man returns. Do you have oil in your lamp?

That is the most important question.

I believe that many will come to the Truth, to Christ, after the church of Christ disappears from the earth.  They will suffer for their faith. They must cling to the Truth and never give up----without the reassuring presence of the Holy Spirit---lose their lives!

But they have a great reward in heaven, and they will shine like stars in the universe, holding forth the Word of LIFE.

I know that I am in awe of those believers already, and such may be some of you, those of you who read this, and will find truth after I am long gone. Great is your reward in heaven.

It is less than two weeks until the feast of trumpets, as I write this. I have always believed that the rapture would occur at the feast of trumpets. Some of you remember Zola Levit. I read several of his books 30 years ago, and he said "Jesus always kept the feasts."

The Jewish feasts aren't just holiday celebrations for the Chosen People. They are patterns, symbols, and appointments for the people who choose to follow God.

"Choose you this day whom you will follow....As for me and my house, We will serve the LORD."

The feasts were a beautiful reminder that God has a master plan, a holy pattern that is playing out in His creation. Some of us have chosen to follow that path and pattern, becoming believers, and following the Savior He provided. Some are completely unaware of it because no one has told them!

"How shall they hear without a preacher?"

These appointments, feasts have been fulfilled up until the feast of Pentecost.

They are fulfilled by Christ, in Christ, and through Christ. He is the pattern. The beautiful symbolism of these feasts and the life of Christ Jesus is hard to miss when you begin to study them.

Jesus always kept the feasts, and the last one he kept was Pentecost.....the next one for him to keep is Rosh Hoshana, the feast of trumpets.

"The trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, and we who remain will be CAUGHT UP TO MEET HIM IN THE AIR!"

So, friends, will it be this year?

As the Jewish people often greeted each other, or took leave, "Next year in Jerusalem!"

So can we expect to have a lovely reunion with all believers in that heavenly Jerusalem.

God isn't finished yet. Things are coming closer. (OF COURSE!) Each day we draw nearer to the fulfillment of time, and I believe we could be waiting, breathlessly, for the next event on God's calendar pattern to occur even THIS feast of trumpets.

I don't KNOW, but I think.

So get your oil in your lamps, and keep them burning, burning, burning. Burning 'til the break of day.....

Next year in Jerusalem! Maranatha.
