What a Day May Bring

It is with sadness I must report that Misty passed away.

Nine years, but this past year was hard as she became diabetic and lost her eyesight.

Grieve with us, at Corgi Hollows.

Pets are people too.

It hasn't sunk in yet...

Stuff

It's been a drag for me to blog without a computer, but I have tried to keep up with the crazy times we are in.

Our Thanksgiving was nice, the visit to Mayo Clinic interesting (on several levels) and our Christmas shopping is pretty much finished.

Pets are aging but healthy enough. Leaves are raked. We have four winter's worth of firewood stored in a restored shed, the big summer project completed with a welcome help of my husband's parents.

Ed has some super challenges ahead:

One year of chemo left for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Knee replacement in the left leg ASAP
Right knee replacement following
Surgery during chemo ?
College, finishing "high school" as a full time college student
Keeping healthy
Keeping stable mentally
Continually balancing medications
Being an up-beat contributor to society

---which he is, by God's grace.

Life is hard.

Ed, by the nature of his situation, takes up my time and mental occupation, but Cherie and everything else naturally make up the balance of my own time.

There are days when I can hardly process any thoughts, let alone current events and activities!

There go I by God's mercy.

I know His strength. I can't function without His power and care for me.

No one can, but my recent circumstances have profoundly proven God's presence in my life.

My friends have been witnesses to this incredible evidence.

And that's exciting. Exhausting, sometimes scary, concerning, overwhelming, but really honestly exciting.

And God gets the glory. My weakness has been His strength. I've seen it, witnessed it, experienced it.

Our friends were here over the holiday weekend, and notified me about the documentary "Vaxxed."

YOU should watch it. Everyone should. I had heard of it, but vaccines didn't concern me much. I didn't bother to watch it.

I'm glad I did last night. This is a concern on so many levels---infants, government, world population, societal/statistical projections, corruption, agendas, toxicity, Big Pharma, propaganda, control.

It's one of those issues that encapsulates the problems of our entire existence. No exaggeration. Watch, and see the connections.

We live in a complicated world, but there are ways to comprehend it.

God gives us His grid to filter our understanding.

Exciting times, aren't they?

Survival Guide

Dear friend, who is sad this week because of the election, let me give you some excellent advice for surviving the next few years.

This has all been tried and implemented, with complete success, over the last eight years, so it's worthy of note.

Turn off the radio, TV, or electronic device immediately when it plays Donald Trump's voice, or Mike Pence. You don't need to hear it. Those who can stand the sound will tell you everything you need to know.

I did this with Obama and Hillary, and it really helped me.

Make a rule that you will not raise your voice when discussing the politics du jour. It only irritates. Just listen and respond with courtesy. You won't change anyone's mind by hollering at them. A reasoned argument  or article is much more convincing.

Focus on known truth. Stop getting upset at social media claims. The media lies incessantly, so don't get taken in.

Look for philosophical agendas, and see how different groups implement these goals. It's eye opening, but not worth getting upset over.

Stay calm. Conserve your energy for rational activity.

Always look for truth. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

He is truth because he claimed it and has been proven. God is worth pursuing.

Remember, God is in control!

Rejoice.

What Matters Americans?

What have you done?

You came to your senses and helped start a revolution.

You bought us some time.

I am grateful for the chance to spread the Gospel, snatching some from the fire.

What a wake up.

Here are some observations of hope:

People will begin to see the difference between Christians and Believers.

Believers base their faith on the Bible, Christian can be a very broad term.

Believers behave in obedience to what God commands in the Bible---love one another, serve each other, love God, obey Him.

These are the top of the list.

I think that we all care about our reputation and how we are perceived. The biggest question we must answer is, "By whom?"

Do the attitudes of my children matter? My spouse?  My parents? Peers?

When you strip away the fog of protecting your persona among the important ones in your life, you find incredible freedom.

You find that the only one who really matters is God, and how He perceives you.

What others think of you shouldn't have a bearing.

I know, it's hard. We want to be loved by everyone.  That's natural.

But God matters, and His will, following it, grants us an eternal fellowship with His own. Nothing can compare.

Love others,  but be willing to let them go.

It matters that you please the Creator more.

A Note of Sympathy and Hope

Eight years ago Obama won the election.

It was blow for conservatives,  but they all grit their teeth and suffered the crazy developments ever since.

The skyrocketing debt, the moral decline, the terrible resurgence of race issues,  the health care debacle, abortion horrors, the ISIS insanity, terror, and general uncertainty.

People have short memories. Their god is their belly, and we have a generation of narcissists settling for that which serves themselves best.

I include myself. I'm a selfish sinner too.

We are all sinners.

I sense a panic among liberals lately. They are feeling our pain and fear of a leader who completely disagrees with us. The pain is real, and so is the fear. I get it!

But take heart! You'll survive as well as I did. Probably. Well, maybe. Obama isn't supposed to be in office much longer. I know, we never thought we'd survive his first presidency,  let alone his second! Congratulations!  We did survive, so far!

These political defeats reorient our philosophies and help us question our presuppositions.  Persecution is great for someone who believes in God's Word.  It's a refining process.

So count it all joy, brethren.

Trust Jesus.

Who Ya Gonna Trust?

All week I've been saying that phrase in my mind.

It's brought about by Wikileaks, mostly, but also from listening to NPR periodically over the last days.

It seems that their are two narratives, like I wrote about before, and they aren't remotely alike.

People are confused. They don't have an anchor for absolute truth, so they go with the flow and believe whatever. Whatever.

I have an Anchor for absolute truth, and the Holy Spirit that indwells my heart indwells every believer,  a witness of truths and affirmation. A binding witness that keeps us believers united.

It's not a charismatic thing, it's a Biblically anchored moral compass.

It's taking the plain truth plainly, the wisdom wisely,  the beauty appreciatively, and the commands seriously.

That's the Bible with which I follow Christ Jesus.

If you don't have a Biblically based Christianity you are serving your self, what you want. That's idolatry. The Bible is God's Word, so the whole thing is naturally circular.

If you haven't repented and been filled with the Holy Spirit you won't be able to understand it.

You must believe. It's just that simple.

It's late, and the next few days will be intense before the election. I like politics.  I'm interested in politics,  and the current scene fascinates me.

I'm sort of a junkie right now, trying to keep up with the latest news.

It might be over in a week.  Maybe not, though.

I do know that I'm voting against Hillary, and hopeful that the world can buy time against the global elitists who run the Federal Reserve.

But if not, and we are on the fast track toward global government and a worldwide economic system, we are simply witnessing Bible prophecy unfolding.

It's all good.

Maranatha!

Alternate Universes

A few years ago I was privy to a conversation that became an all-out attack on conservatives,  Sarah Palin in particular. I said nothing in her defense (wouldn't be prudent) but I stored the malice and scorn in my thoughts.

As I walked away, contemplating the remarks, I was struck with the realization that I lived in a different  world from these people---a different UNIVERSE.

Our whole frame of reference was poles apart.

We could no more understand each other than if we were speaking Chinese and Spanish, Arabic and Swedish.

It was then I lost all hope in humanity and rightfully placed all of my trust in God ALONE.

So it was a good thing.

I grieve for mankind and its lostness. I've renewed my commitment to tell the Gospel story, for that IS  the truth. I've opened my mind to seeing Lucifer's conspiracy to bring about the end times.

And it's fascinating. And it all fits. And it makes sense.

Few other things seem to make sense these days.

So, as the Clintons fall, Trump rises, the economy's false bubble bursts, and Satan has his heyday ---- I will be serene.

I have no worries.  My hope has been firmly locked in Jesus.

His grace is sufficient.

I'm enjoying the ride.
