An Appetite for the Lord
Most of us stopped talking about New Year’s resolutions around the same time we stopped keeping them. But there’s one resolve we as Christians should sustain — to intimately know Jesus and continually be filled with his Spirit.
In the Spiritual Disciplines Handbook (see right sidebar), Adele Calhoun writes: “Jesus wants us to recognize that hidden in our desperations and desires is an appetite for the Lord and Giver of life.”
We pray that all of us will continue to seek first the Lord as we live out our faith daily — at home, in our vocation, and in our community.
In this Alumni Newsletter, read more about the ongoing process of spiritual formation and development. May Jesus meet us all in 2013.
